Over the top partying

09/12/2011

Alfred University seems to be developing a reputation and it has only been two weeks into the semester.

On Saturday, Sept. 3, seven students were transported from AU to Saint James Hospital in Hornell for high intoxication of alcohol.

Since the University has only been open for a short period of time, this number jumps out. It really makes you wonder if Alfred has become the ultimate party school.

Yeah, you hear me, Alfred University a party school.

Well, most websites like collegeprowler.com or stateuniversity.com, have given Alfred a low grade party school ranking respectively, so perhaps this reputation is not nationally recognized. Others, however, may see this situation and flash back to the deaths of students associated with social fraternities and sororities, before they were banned in AU.

The question is, is this a growing trend or just a case of too much excitement over the first weekend back at school?

Either way, if this situation with over-intoxication continues at the same rate for the rest of the semester, Alfred University officials may have to look into cracking down at the partying for the safety of there students.
