Student Senate Agenda for March 17th, 2010
In this special edition of the Senate Agenda, all steps will be outlined to make sure everyone understands what the procedure is.
Call to Order by President Ana Devlin Gauthier - The President initiates the meeting
Motion to Accept Minutes of March 3rd, 2010 - The Senate floor acknowledges the Senate Minutes from the previous Senate meeting.
Officer Reports - The Senate Executive Board Members address the floor in turn, providing information specific to their position and responsibilities
-Vice President Matthew Brown will be announcing the newly selected Senate Diversity Director
-Please be patient with us, we will have a completed list of officer reports ready for the Senate Meeting tomorrow. Please email me if you would still prefer them in advance.
-Office Hours:
Secretary Zach Grosser: Wednesdays 1-2
Treasurer Peter Nyitrai: Wednesdays 1-2, Mondays 2:45-4:30
Publicity Director Janice Cheung: Wednesdays 1-2
President Ana Devlin Gauthier: Wednesdays 1-2, Thursdays 1-2
Vice President Matthew Brown: Wednesdays 1-3, Thursdays 1-2
Finance Chair Ann Halbert-Brooks: Thursdays 1-2, Mondays 2:45-4:30
-I would just like to reinforce that there is a common office hour time for the majority of the Senate Executive Board, Wednesdays from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. This is to make it easier for questions to be answered for anyone that visits during the office hours, but feel free to come during any of the other office hours with questions as well.
Old Business - Items brought up in New Business from the previous Senate meeting will be discussed
-None Currently due to elections during the last Senate meeting.
New Business - New topics are brought to the floor.
-President Ana Devlin Gauthier will discuss the Executive Boards new idea relating to Student Performers and Senate Meetings.
Open Forum - Any person attending the Senate meeting can bring up questions, concerns, ideas, and anything else that needs to be discussed.
Announcements - Any person attending the Senate meeting can present an announcement on behalf of themselves, their club, or organization to the floor. This occurs in the front right corner of Nevins Theatre.
-We are currently going to stay with the previous system, please place announcements in the announcement binder directly after Senate.
